In today’s world there are so many options of free advertising for your club. Social media can be utilized to not only reach out to the community but also, can be used to interact with your current members and even to gain potential new members. Start with one that you are feeling most comfortable with and expand to more with help of fellow officers or enthusiastic members of your club. Here is a short stack of most used social media in today’s world.
Facebook: Facebook is a great free tool that lets you interact with current and potential club members. 68% of people who use social media are on Facebook, according to the research conducted by Pew Research Center in 2019.

Once your Facebook page is created, you start posting. What to post? Open house or any other exciting events, pictures from your current club meeting, awards, videos of speeches (with permission of the speaker). Make sure to let your club member know and tell everyone to like your page to build a group of followers. Too tight on time? Instagram: Instagram is a free photo and video sharing app available on a smartphone and used widely by people in age group between 13-29. People can upload photos or videos to our service and share them with their followers or with a select group of friends. LinkedIn: LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network on the internet. You can use LinkedIn to find potential new members for your club as people visit the page to not only find the right job or internship, but also to learn the skills they need to succeed in their career. You can access LinkedIn from a desktop, LinkedIn mobile app, mobile web experience, or the LinkedIn Lite Android mobile app. You can also use LinkedIn to organize offline events, join groups, write articles, post photos and videos, and more. Youtube channel: Capture your member’s speech or contest on video. Share your own tutorials, testimonials. You can use your own videos on social media or your website by posting it for free on YouTube. YouTube is a great tool, stand alone or with a connection to other tools.
