What is District 15?
Toastmasters International is organizationally divided into 14 Regions, geographically spanning 126 countries and serving 313,000 members around the world. Each Region is then divided into Districts, then into Divisions, Areas, Clubs, and finally to individual members.
Why Toastmasters?
“Confidence. Leadership. Communication. Who wouldn’t want that?” —Annette Krause, Legal Secretary
Region 1 of Toastmasters International covers the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada. Within Region 1, District 15 covers a large geographical area spanning Utah, Southern Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Northern Nevada and Western Wyoming. The District strives to support every current and potential member in our district, and to extend the network of clubs offering greater numbers of people the opportunity to enhance their lives, and to enjoy greater success through a Toastmasters experience. One of the immediate impressions that most visitors note is that a Toastmasters meeting is an inviting, welcoming place where everyone is encouraged to pursue their goals of personal growth in a constructive environment. As a matter of fact, this is reflected in the Toastmaster’s Club Mission Statement:
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
